Start educating your audience now; tickets are not sold at each venue, and we require the purchase of a $3 EFF button. The button supports the festival so that 100% of your ticket sales go right back to you. The Elgin Fringe Festival is seeking work for our visual art component to be displayed during the 2019 Elgin Fringe Festival. In keeping with the fringe mission, our goal is to create a diverse landscape, both literally and figuratively, of uncensored and unjuried artwork. Our hope is to not only showcase talented independent artists inside venues, but to showcase larger temporary works including sculpture and murals outdoors as well. Submissions will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis.
All physical artwork, excluding statues, busts, pottery, and floor mounted works, must have proper and professional-grade installation hardware mounted to them in order to be accepted for installation on drop-off date(s). Any artwork that does not have said hardware will be considered unfinished, and will be turned away at the time of delivery. We ask this of the artists with the utmost respect to their work and their time.
There will be a $10.00 installation fee for the work that is accepted to be installed. 100% of art sales will go back to the artist. The installation fee is non refundable. If you are submitting more that one piece, be sure to submit a separate form for each (unless they are part of a series). A single artist can submit a maximum of three pieces of work.
Selected and wait listed artists will be announced by March 31, 2019
